I'm Xiaojun Shang, an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
My research interests lie in developing practical algorithms and systems to advance computational- and data-intensive applications in distributed computing scenarios.

Before joining UTA, I received Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at State University of New York at Stony Brook advised by Prof. Yuanyuan Yang, M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University, and B.E. in Information and Communication Engineering from Chu Kochen Honors College at Zhejiang University
